Hello, enjoying Facebook, You-tube, Vine, and etc ? Well don't get too obsessed. Social Network is not a drug for us to get addict. The picture above describe it all, here some facts about Social Network Addiction that you should take a precaution. First of all, the symptom of social network addiction. Since you only interact most of the times through social network, it may make you feel nervous when speaking directly with people. Your weight also might change in a short amount of time either skinny or fat. Your emotion aren't stable like you feel a lot of depressed, loneliness or stressed. Now let see what the cause of these addiction on the next paragraph.
WHAT MAKE IT ADDICTING ?
Well, some social network have a good content that are really similar to the user interest.We take Instagram as an example, this social network is about sharing pictures and available to post a 15 second video. Photographer can share their photos and and the followers can "like" and "comment" about the picture. This ways photographer can learn and become more psych up to shoot more scene. Not only photographer, users also can upload their selfies, we-fie, or some picture about their hobby, talent and interest.This social network has many common interest with the users. Users can also do online shopping. For users who like to buy things online, Instagram is another online shopping heaven. It also a platform for fashion designer, fashionista, artist, and famous people to share their dresses, attire, shoes and etc to their followers. Well, all this point is absolutely satisfied the user and make them addict on the social network.
Another example why social network become addicting is people can interact with their friend and burn more time. Friends who would like to meet did not have to meet in person to plan their meeting, now they can use social network to contact each other from far and plan their meeting. This way, people will save more time to write a letter and address it on friend address. It take 3 days to post letter to a friend but now it only take a few second (depending on the internet you are using wi-fi or data) to messages a friend and plan a meet. It is very easy as ABC. Now, we can't deny the function of social network that can make us addict.
For me, the social network give alot of fun and entertainment that even I cannot denied but there a way more activities that you can do rather than sitting infront of your personal computer or smartphone for the whole day. Social network really lag your development and performance , for example if you have a work to do but rather than do it, you spend your times with social network.To most of us, time are gold and if you don't use it properly you never get the advantage of it. Moreover as I mention on my previous post before that social network will always cause tense relationship between your family. You cannot make a time when you busy spending it on social network. The bad outcome of this tense relationship is when you don't know your child development on school life whether he eat or get bullied. Since you are not close with them, they never tell you what their problem is.
SO WHAT THE SOLUTION?
My humble advise is to find a new hobby that you could enjoy at the same time it would not affect the negative impact you experienced before. I'm sure some of you cannot stop log-in through social network so atleast please reduce the time you spent with it. Slowly, you will start to realise that you don't need to get online every 20 minutes. Other than that, you can plan a vacation ahead with your family without the access of social network. Lastly if it not workout , you have to see a therapist or counselor in order for them to give a moral support and encouragement.
